Para Aramid Thread

Para aramid filament thread is a special sewing thread made of 100% continuous aramid (commonly known as aramid 1414) filament. Its core value is to maintain high strength even under extreme high temperatures and to possess flame retardancy.

Core properties of para aramid filament thread

Heat resistance and flame retardancy: Continuous temperature resistance of about 170 ℃, decomposition temperature of about 425 ℃. Not self igniting or melting, able to extinguish the flame after it has withdrawn.

Strength and durability: Stronger than steel wires of the same thickness, wear-resistant, cutting resistant, and resistant to chemical corrosion.Even after aging for 30 minutes at a high temperature of 400 ℃, the strength can still be maintained.

Very sensitive to ultraviolet radiation, long-term exposure can cause discoloration and a decrease in strength, and is not recommended for use on surface lines that require long-term exposure.

Main Features

Application

Firefighting and protective clothing: Firefighter firefighting suits, industrial flame retardant fixtures (such as welding, casting).

Industrial filtration: used for sewing high-temperature flue gas filtration and dust removal bags, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant.

Safety protective equipment: bulletproof vests, cut resistant gloves, stab resistant clothing, etc., utilizing their high strength and cutting resistance.

Outdoor and furniture: production of some high-end fireproof mattresses, tents, and high-temperature insulation curtains

Welding a metal frame while kneeling, sparks flying and the worker wearing protective gear including a helmet and gloves.
