What is 100% spun polyester sewing thread?
100% spun polyester sewing thread is made of 100% polyester staple fiber, 1.33dtex*38mm virgin class. It also be called 100% Polyester Staple Spun Thread. Spun polyester sewing thread is suitable for high speed sewing machines. It has the advantages of high strength, good elasticity, suitable shrinkage, high friction and washing fastness and good chemical stability.
Different counts of sewing thread is suitable for all kinds of high-grade textile clothing, shoes, home textiles and decorative items.
Core Features and Advantages
- High strength and stability: Its strength is second only to nylon (nylon) thread in various types of sutures, and its wet strength does not decrease. After heat setting, the boiling water shrinkage rate can be controlled within 1%.
- Excellent durability: second only to nylon thread in terms of wear resistance, it can resist dry cleaning, washing, stone abrasion, and bleaching agents. It has good corrosion resistance to hydrocarbons, ketones, and most inorganic acids.
- Physical and visual performance: low elongation, elasticity close to wool, able to maintain stable fabric shape. Wide range of color choices, good color fastness, second only to acrylic fiber in light resistance, and not easily faded.

Technical Interpretation Behind the Features
Polyester staple fiber yarn achieves an excellent balance between strength, durability, and cost. It not only inherits the advantages of polyester, such as high strength and chemical resistance, but its ultra-low shrinkage rate of <1% ensures that the stitching remains flat and wrinkle-free after multiple washes, preventing fabric distortion from contraction. This makes it an ideal partner for cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics.
