What Makes 1313 Meta Aramid Thread Exceptional?
Inherent Flame Retardancy: 1313 Meta Aramid thread has a limiting oxygen index (LOI) greater than 28% – well above the 21% oxygen concentration in air. This means the fiber will not sustain combustion in air, does not melt or drip, and is self-extinguishing when removed from the flame source. The flame resistance is inherent to the molecular structure and lasts the lifetime of the thread.
Superior Heat Resistance: Continuous use temperature up to 220°C, with short-term exposure tolerance up to 370°C (700°F). The thread shows minimal thermal shrinkage – approximately 1% at 250°C – maintaining dimensional stability in high-temperature environments. Decomposition begins above 370°C, with carbonization starting around 400°C.
