Uses of Water Soluble Thread Quilting
Quilting is a time-consuming hobby with numerous processes to consider. Basting is the process of stitching the quilting stitches that will hold the blanket together while securing one piece of material to another. Basting a quilt top in place and keeping it from shifting is easy with water soluble thread. You won’t have to remove the basting stitches later if you use water soluble thread.
In techniques like whole cloth quilting, a similar approach is utilized to attach fabrics and batting together. When you’re finished with the project, simply wash it on the delicate cycle, soak it in lukewarm water, or spray it with water and gently scrape the water soluble thread with a toothbrush until it dissolves.
